About
Hey! I’m Jarka Karnok, a graphic designer working between Bratislava and southern Sweden.
I am currently part of Calder Design Community, an established graphic design studio in Bratislava, where I focus mainly on branding and wayfinding projects. Alongside this, I collaborate as an external designer with Wiktor Leo Burnett and continue to work with my own clients.
My background combines a strong academic foundation with international experience: I graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava, spent a year at the Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design in Jerusalem, and later worked at Kognito Gestaltung in Berlin. These experiences shaped my approach, blending illustration, typography, and clear visual communication.
I love diving into each brief, exploring the context, and developing concepts that tell meaningful stories. While my current focus is branding and wayfinding, I enjoy working across the full spectrum of graphic design whenever the project calls for it.
At the moment, I am based between Bratislava and western Skåne, with a vision to fully relocate and continue my career as a graphic designer in Sweden in the near future.
